Pontoon Boat ride with Karen back in Mattox Creek out to the Potomac. Shut down the motor for a ½ hour or so and just floated and enjoyed the peace and quiet.

Wind and weather were nice, so I went out for an early afternoon sail. The range at Dahlgren’s was open so I couldn’t sail out to the Potomac, but I did sail to the entrance of Monroe Bay and back past our house on Mattox Creek.
Was out of town for a week or so hence a pent-up demand to go sailing. The weather and wind were perfect! I sailed from Mattox Creek to Monroe Bay and back.
Went over to Stepps Marina to put the pontoon boat in the water for the season.
Sailed for about an hour around Mattox Creek. Winds 10mph +/-
Lots of chop in Mattox Creek out towards the Potomac River so I decided to turn around and sail in the more protected waters of Placid Bay.
Absolutely perfect conditions for a sail to Monroe Bay marker # 2 and back.
Kayak around Mattox Creek with Karen.
Way windier than I thought it was going to be, weather app said wind was 13mph with gusts to 25. I got a rush that reminded me of skiing double black diamonds with some ice mixed in. I’m far from being an expert sailor but I am getting more confident.
